I am 11 years old and want to play college basketball. First I want to make the state championship team this fall. How much practice by myself should I do? Any tips on what to practice?|||Since you're still young you should practice everyday. If your friends play basketball you should be playing with them everyday. Practice your dribbling and shooting. Don't always go for the 3pts, practice the middle range shots. The best practice is in a full court game 5v5. In a full court game you should practice passing and rebounding, shooting is a given. If you get better, you should practice better moves like crossing over.
Youtube is full of dribbling and basketball exorcises. You should check out youtube. Just search "Basketball Drills".|||Calm down u proboblly wont make it if u have to ask us what we think|||My son is 13 and we talk a lot about goal setting. I would suggest starting out with a goal of making your Varsity High School as a Freshman. This will give you 4 years of exposure to the College Scouts. Secondly, if you are not already get on an AAU team that travels. Our team plays across the country and at the big tournaments over the summer College coaches go to these events. Good Luck to you!
