okay i been playing basketball for 10 years now but i couldnt play this year because i sprained my ankle. what should i do to make me a better player for next year?|||When your ankle gets good enough to stand on, shoot free throws. Free throws are the best mechanical shot you can shoot. Shooting them while you are immobile will really improve the rest of your shots.
When your ankle is good to turn and cut on, get your stamina up by running or whatever. Other than that, just practice dribbling alot.. it is a very important to know how to dribble well. If you can get someone to practice with, it would also be beneficial.|||Watch alot of NBA games on TV so u can learn what they do so you can get better|||you know people could play basketball with no feet. wat i mean is practice your skills, once your better you will be a better player than everyone else. by the way, i am a pro player in the WNBA in NY.|||r.i.c.e r-est i-ce c-ompression e-elevate. to become better u have to be 100 percent and practice in all of your free time try to not do alot of jumping just practice with your weak hand and free throw.|||Run..Run. Run. Get your legs and conditioning back, first and foremost.
This will actually help your confidence and your jumpshot (which comes from leg strength, by the way).
Also, be sure to spend 15 minutes a day, holding/touching the basketball so your hands/fingers get re-acquainted to the feel of the ball.
Lastly, play as often as you can before next season starts.
Good luck to you. Patience and persistence will pay off for you.
