Will basketball shoes do for custodian work aside from Redwings for the like?

I was thinking of purchasing some work shoes for my custodian job but was wondering if just even, basketball shoes would do well. I would like actual work boots but they are just too expensive. I figure basketball shoes because they are made to have good traction on smooth surfaces. Well, I do not know about wet surfaces just yet. The only thing is getting them wet.|||Yeah, just get a rugged heavy pair. Don't get the breathable ones. Also they aren't too good on wet surfaces, but once you get back on try they have better traction.|||As long as theres no rules about it, but i would think it would work, but dont buy a pair of kobes, jordans, or lebrons or something expensive if your gunna be doing messy stuff. But yea they should work.
