I play middle school basketball am the center.Ok I didn't get very much playing time last year like I did play alot but sometimes I didn't.Ok this year i'am the only center we got and am 5"9".Do you think I will get alot of playing time this year, because am the tallest person on the team?(center)|||You'll get playing time when you earn it. They'll look at you since you're the tallest. That makes you the most logical. Which means you'll get a chance to play yourself out of that position.
You'll need to be able to rebound, make the outlet pass, run the court, play defense and score once in a while from close in. Can you do any of these ? If not, you better get busy with an instructor and some workouts.|||being the tallest and least skilled does not get you playing time. You need to have basketball skills to go with your height. Can you rebound and get an outlet pass to your point guard properly? Can you put back in an offensive rebound. Can you provide a low post option to your guards? Can you hit a jump shot from the foul line? Can you run a pick and roll properly?
You need skills! Practice! Practice! Practice!|||yes i think you get a lot playing time this year because you are only one big center...|||work on your post moves, and fakes, and yes you should get more time.|||usually yes.the most important is u show to ur coach that he can use u not only bcoz u r tall..|||most probably, but you have to be aggressive, just copy all the moves of amare studamire and youll be a great center.|||if you are black your the man
if white go ***** your self|||Depends, Are you the best player or one of the best on the team. Even though your the only center. Your coach can move a power forward to the center position. She could be as good as you.|||your height is not what is going to get you playing time. yet that is a beautiful thing. you have to just do a bunch of drills. you have to learn to post up. do drills like standing face towards the wall , and just jump your highest. if your coach sees that you are working hard, that is what gets you in the game. Dedication, Heart, and Practice. You have to want the game. Believe me , i am on a high school girls basketball team and i am the shortest, i have the best defense on the team, only because i practice.|||it depends on your coach, your teams style of playing, the other teams players and your contribution. if you don't provide any contribution despite your height, you probably won't play but might be on the team just in case you play a big team and your needed. but if you can use your height to your advantage and rebound, block shots and finish consistently in the paint, you will be getting a lot of playing time. check out gobasketballpro.com, they have a lot of good information.|||height shouldn't matter but it does... I say skills are more important.
