I am trying to make my own basketball backboard with tempered glass, I just don't get how to attach the ring to the board since drilling tempered glass is not possible. I am also fabricating my own metal frame.
How do I do this? Any video or diagram would be of much help! Thanks!|||Here's a few links on drilling tempered glass. Consensus opinion is that it's not recommended.

Also, even professional backboards are not drilled unless the backboard is made of acrylic or lexan plastic. The glass is held in a tempered steel frame, and does not require to be drilled.

As stated, and can be observed when they break in games, the hoop/ring is welded to the frame and the glass mounted in the frame.|||The holes are drilled BEFORE the tempering process. The hoop / ring is attached to the frame for strength (especially on 'tear away' models)|||you don't know enough to call it a hoop and you want to drill glass? let me guess, you're 12
