How many basketball players are there in a basketball team?

Please answer me ! I want to know how many basketball players are there in a team, NOT how many players are allowed to play in a match !|||On an NBA team, 12 are active in a game, but they are allowed to have 15|||there 12 are able to play in a game, but there can be as much as 15 on one team. trust me im like......a basketball guru

|||In NBA there can be 15 but anywhere else on any other team there is only a limit to the number of jerseys. I played a team with 20 kids and played on a team with 8.

Five players will be on the field, while the other seven will sit on the bench.
