How should I cover a basketball hoop at our reception hall?

We're having our wedding reception at place that has a basketball hoop mounted on the wall. The whole backboard is white, so there's just the orange hoop and the net that are ugly looking. I've heard that decorating something you want to hide will just draw attention to it, so I'm not sure if I should even try to hide it with decorations. The tables with the food (buffet-style) will be placed underneath the basketball hoop, so maybe people won't notice it? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!|||If you decorate it, it will add attention to it. Just leave it be. Dim the lights and have lots of candlelight instead.|||Sometimes they can be raised...have you asked the facility if it can be raised? (that way, it will be way, way out of eye-view...)





But if not, it's all about lighting. Keep the lighting low-candlelight will keep eyes focusing on what's generally in their midst.





Just keep your table away from it, and it won't be in any photos, so it won't matter a moment. It's probably more harm than good to even bother decorating it.|||the net can most likely be removed.





i am not sure how this would look, but...maybe you could drape a white sheet over the hoop and gather it at the bottom with a nice rope and tassle. have an artificial flower arrangement to sit on top and drape over the edges of the sheet.

How do you make a basketball cannon work?

I made a basketball cannon out of ten inch pipe that is about three feet long and then made a little ledge inside for the basketball to sit on, put a bottom on it and drilled a hole at the bottom. I am spraying ever clear inside and waiting a little while for it to vaporize and then lighting it with matches in the little hole at the bottom. It is shooting it about a foot up. What am I doing wrong? Did I make it wrong? Or why is it not working?|||not enough seal around the ball or your ignition hole is to large... pressure = further distances... low pressure like you have is going to give you nothing. Increase the pressure.

How i can i play basketball for a college after graduating high school in Georgia?

Im 18 already finished with high school. The high school i went to was terrible in basketball, but I want to play for any colleges in georgia. Is there any type of programs/basketball camps available in ga where you can have college scouts look at you?|||I am not an expert, but try to get a high light reel together and send it to some schools. You might have to be a walk on and just show hustle and good talent to your coach. Many players made it that way, check out Scottie Pippen for instance. He was a towel boy if I am not mistaken. Sometimes dedication and hard work are everything.|||did you play basketball in high school? because if not, your not gonna have the knowledge and skills to play college basketball.. and if you did, then you prolly werent an outstanding player because you dont have any colleges already looking at you.. so i would suggest trying to play at a d-3 school where the competition is nowhere near the top levels of college basketball.. or you could go to a school and just play intramural basketball|||you got to go to the camps in North Carolina and Kentucky to really get seen if you had no scholarship offers. If you can't afford it try Cincinnati State as a walk on or other JUCO schools. I know Tashawn Prince is having one in Lexington Ky but it is loose and not for getting an offer. The last one I know that still has open spots is "Blue Chips" near Louisville.

It's expensive but the best way to get exposure is to go to one of these camps like this one. North carolina like Kentucky is crazy about HS and College basketball and close. Look for camps there.|||send in videos of u playing/practicing to the college(s) that u want to go to|||you and your coach need to contact colleges your interested ina nd arrange a visit, if you're talkin about next year you better hurry because rosters are about finished

How often does the college basketball be in practice and practice?

When the basketball players arrive the first day of college, but they have to go to the practice on the same day. The college basketball players must be there everyday until the time of games and after the season is over.|||What? They probably do conditioning dureing the summer and once school starts...they don't start practicing until Oct and play starting Nov...they don't practice after the season is over.|||24/7?!

How do I keep my Basketball from getting stuck in the net?

Yes, it may sound like a stupid question, but I am tired of jumping up to get the basketball out of the net when it gets stuck. Is there anything I could to to keep the Basketball from getting stuck in the net? Thank you.|||cut the net my uncle's net had the same problem so he had to cut it because it got morphed from the weather|||Either you get a bigger net and use the same ball or use the same net and get a smaller ball but I would get a smaller ball because it's cheaper|||Get a new net. Probably one that is longer because i find that those make it harder for the ball to be stuck.|||Get a different net, some nets do that with bigger balls, or u can dunk it hard and it will go right through.
