How can I be an effective basketball player on my team?

I am on a youth basketball team with 12 guys on it. Most of the time, I will either be the 6th man or 7th man (that means i will be coming off the bench). But also at times, I will be starting. I basically play either shooting guard(most of the time) or small forward. I also am a good mid-range shooter and a pretty decent defender. But most shooting guards have to shoot the consistently.

So, how can I shoot 3-pointer consistently?|||I have the same problem right now. I'm always out around the 3 - Point line. That's my home on the court. I've just recently found my spot though. I'm the starting SG on my team, so my job is to make those shots. The last two games, I have found my spot. Personally, my best spot is just to right of the centre of the 3 - Point line. I take one step back with my left foot, drag my right one back, grip, and shoot, all in a matter of 1 second. You got to do it quick though, otherwise the defender gets there.|||My 3 point tip is to find your hotspot. That and to aim when you shoot. I mean really aim. People just look at the rim and think that they are aiming.... Aiming is when you think about the rim, don't think about your defender.|||practice

90 percent of the game is half mental.

imagine making 3 after 3. spend 15 or 30 minutes a day doing this.|||This is a kinda dumb question.......You have to practice shooting 3 pointers of course. Also you must know your roll thatr you play on a team. The coach might just need you to husle.
